Education and Training

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Montana and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Montana and California, where I have had the privilege of serving diverse populations of children, families, and adults. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado-Boulder, and a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology, from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA.

My experience includes serving as a therapist in hospital, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy settings. I have had the pleasure of working with children involved in hospice care, adults coping with neurodegenerative disorders, pregnant and postpartum people, those struggling with fertility issues or reproductive loss, and individuals and families coping with stress and trauma.

Approach to Therapy

My approach is warm, relational, and engaged. My personal and professional studies in mindfulness are reflected in my work--both in my presence, and as part of the skill set I offer others for managing stress, and developing self reflection. My orientation reflects my studies in attachment theory, neuroscience, depth psychology and somatic trauma-informed care. I work to include the totality of one's experience, including how the mind, body, beliefs, and relationships impact functioning and development.

My education is Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology, informs my understanding that our thoughts, feelings and beliefs are directly tied to our biology. My education and training has allowed me to work with individuals utilizing approaches that aim to regulate the nervous system, de-escalate traumatic or overwhelming responses, and help people learn to collaborate with their bodies to develop more ease, safety, and freedom in how they interact with themselves and the world around them.
